Pushing agitator, also known as push flow agitator, is a type of agitator that generates flow by pushing the blades during the mixing process. It is usually used to stir high viscosity liquid or slurry, such as honey, colloid, paste, lotion, etc.
The structure of a propulsion mixer includes parts such as an electric motor, reducer, bearings, impeller, shaft, and frame. Among them, the impeller is a key component of the propulsion mixer, composed of multiple curved blades, generally arranged in a spiral shape. The shape and number of impellers can be designed and adjusted according to different stirring media.
The working principle of the pusher mixer is as follows:
1. The electric motor drives the gearbox to rotate, causing the shaft to rotate;
2. The impeller on the shaft rotates, pushing the stirring medium to move along the axis direction;
3. Due to the bending of the blades on the impeller, strong shear and disturbance forces are generated while pushing the stirring medium, making it fully mixed;
4. After mixing, the stirring medium moves along the axis direction again and continuously circulates, ultimately achieving the goal of full mixing.
Compared with traditional paddle mixers, push type mixers can better solve the mixing problem of high viscosity liquids because they can generate greater shear and disturbance forces, thereby achieving more comprehensive mixing and stirring effects. In addition, the operation of push type agitators is relatively simple and the maintenance cost is also low, making them widely used in production processes in fields such as chemical, pharmaceutical, and food.
